I came to yoga from Mixed Martial Arts. My brother, John, and I were training 2-3 times a day in a crazy-train-like-it's-a-real-fight kind of way.
I was tight, bruised, broken and stressed-out.
That's what brought me to yoga.
I tried a few different styles...
All of them "regular" yoga... meaning NO HEAT.
I was about to write yoga off completely when a friend suggested I try Hot Yoga.
I did... and it changed everything!
The heat made it challenging and invigorating.
Every class felt like an accomplishment... like I had done something of real value.
It healed my injuries.
I gained flexibility (not for the reason you might think)
I was getting stronger (which I didn't expect)
And most importantly I finally felt at ease...
I didn't see most of it coming!
I know you might be thinking that I'm saying Hot Yoga is a cure all... it's not... but I am saying it dramatically changed my life.
And my brother John and I have been committed to helping others do the same.
